I voted "Other"... since I'm between TVs so I don't really have a brake controller yet.

I imagine your new truck will have the integrated controller? Nice thing about being a mod is you can edit the polls , so you can change your vote later!

I use the integrated controller on my new 2012 GMC 3500HD. The best brake controller I ever used was a BrakeSmart installed in my Suburban K2500. It allowed nearly infinite adjustments and performed flawlessly. Unfortunately, it is no longer being made.

I am sure it has been talked about but what is the difference between a Prodigy and P2/P3. Thanks for the input.

What gain setting do you use?

I have 2012 GMC 3500HD and the integrated brake control is not as smooth as the BrakeSmart I used for 8 years on my K2500 Suburban.

That's a good question. I on vacation right now and not anywhere near my truck, but I believe I have my gain set at 6.5. I know that I messed around with it until I got it just right so the truck and trailer stop as one instead of one lead the other.

Thanks for the info.

I too, am on vacation. But, with the trailer and truck.

I have a Hensley hitch. I'm getting a lot of Hensley "bump" with the exhaust brake. Never had that problem with the Suburban.

Is your problem with the reducer to take the receiver opening from 2 1/2" to 2"? I read over on dieselplace.com that some are having problems with that and are shimming or tacking the adaptor into the receiver. I don't want to send this topic way off course, so if you want to keep it going lets start a new thread or pm me
