Bulge on exterior

Hi everyone
Have a 2020 eagle ht 29.5 bhds, bought brand new last year, this last trip we took, noticed a bulge just below the window, took it to dealer where is was bought and service guy said it’s normal to see seams coming through, but after telling him that I have owned a few fifth wheels and never seen that happen, he took some pictures and said he would send it to Jayco, just wondering anyone ever have this happen? You can feel the bump

That does not look "normal" to me. Especially the location, there is a lot of stress / frame flex in that general area behind the pin box.
Usually the sidewall cracks are found on the driver side near the corner of the bedroom slide on 5th wheels.
Keep us posted, I'm curious as to your findings.

Looks like a crack forming in the fiberglass, starting from the backside.

Is anything visible on the inside? The Filon comes in one big sheet so it's apparently something with the framing.

Agree 100%, I think the dealer is blowing smoke. If you don't hear back from the dealer quickly, I would follow up directly with Jayco.

Guess got to call jayco directly, dealer said they sent the pictures to Jayco and they said it’s normal , that sometimes you can see seams that mine is just more noticeable, dealer looked at directly and said it’s weird how it’s like that, but to keep an eye on it

I would personally visit your dealer and ask for copies of their warranty service e-mail communication with Jayco, and copy of Jayco's response....., a paper trail may come in handy 10 months down the road.

We have something similar - just not as pronounced. Out of warranty so definitely keeping an eye on it. Please let us know what Jayco says.

Between the front door & our bedroom window. There are several spots. When we noticed it last year, showed it to our service guys and they said it was nothing to worry about. We will wait & see.

Absolutely. Ours is going back to the shop mid-October. One tire on the large slide is still rubbing on the slide. The shop owner feels the springs are just too weak for that unit. And the springs were just replaced last October.

Mine had the sidewall rubbing on the slide almost like axle was over to far but was not. Jayco replaced all springs and the center rubber block with a heavier one. That and new springs raised it enough to no longer rub. My factory upgraded tires to G at 110 psi I think made it an issue being a different size tire.

New springs last October & MorRyde replaced at the same time as the outriggers. We also replace the tires (G's which we ordered from the factory) last year because of the springs & outriggers. Tires kept between 100 & 105. Will know more once they look at the trailer.

My morride rubber was upgraded to a heavier with more lift. Is your tire rubbing bottom of floor or the sidewall rubbing the inside slide lip? Mine would rub when hitting big bumps on our smooth highways. Jayco service center also replaced the LCI springs with same capacity but used Dexter leafs. I always had plenty of clearance above the tire. It makes no sense that right wheels have plenty of slide clearance but left side does not. Axle mount measurement are same left and right in frame. Almost like FW was built onto the frame over to the right just a tad to cause this. They know it was a random problem that some had. They had reports and mine was the first one the service center had for this issue. They had it for over a month doing repairs and for there engineering dept to figure out the fix.

I used to have a KZ bunkhouse. Same issue. They took it back to Indiana and rebuilt it.

Email pics to: service@jayco.com, start a paper trail. For sure take it back to the factory for repairs
