@jflightRisk & @oldmanaz. Yea those were the good ol days...and as aggrevating as they were, I sure do miss those days. And now here we are, same stuff, different industry...perhaps 50 years from now they will be saying "back in the day everything broke every other week but at least all the parts were universal and simplistic, now everything is specialized or proprietary or complicated, etc".
Well you know what they say...history repeats itself.

Just wait 'till RV's are controlled by AI. You just sit there, and give verbal requests.
Sooo, how many remember the song "2525"???

Jayco used to be a great product. Then Thor took over. Quality and service went ot the door. As does everything Thor buys. They/ your money, with a smile, divey the profits, with a smile, and owners laugh all the way to the bank. Thats taking yours and mine hard earned money. Thor has screwed owners, dealers and the industry. To bad.

I certainly feel the pain here. I looked at many brands of Class C before deciding on the Jayco. Thankfully the 2 year warranty covered the preponderance of issues in the first two years, but in the second two years it has been all on me (with the help of this forum and internet) to sort out the issues.
Quality control has certainly been an issue, but buying the Jayco was in part due to the better details. Plywood instead of particle board for most drawers/cupboards, fiberglass roof with pretty good support, and better floor plan.
I have owned many RV's over the years (let's see....3 pickup campers, 5 travel trailers, 3 motorhomes). The only manufacturer that I can truly say was nearly trouble free was my 1994 Tiffin Allegro Bay. I think Tiffin is still independant, but I read their boards and still see where people have trouble mostly with the third partly suppliers.
Owning an RV is like owning an airplane (which I had 3 of). Either get handy and just resign yourself to repairs with the help of a good mechanic OR have a very deep wallet. I understand boats are the same way, but never owned one.

My experience tells me it’s not just Jayco. My first RV was a Thor and every, and I mean “EVERY” time we took it on the road something broke, leaked or just plain fell apart on its own! I had a Winni with very little issues and my Jayco has very few problems but is not without flaws!
It’s the luck of the draw. I found Jayco to be decently built, but then again I really feel it comes down to the individual assembling these units, some are better than others, some care more and some just plane old don’t give a hoot!
Your not alone, we all feel your pain! Nothing worse than spending this type of money and having grand expectations using it with your family and having issues beyond belief.
It is unacceptable, however, we all must constantly voice our issues to the manufacturer, write letters and keep the pressure on and bring your RV back to the dealer while it’s under warranty as much as you can for EVERY little item! I even email my service writer as soon as an issue occurs.
Every warranty repair the dealer makes gets paid by the manufacturer. So If the manufacturer keeps shelling out money for Factory defects it will hurt their bottom line. And that’s what they care about. I think I’ve heard on this site that Jayco is starting some type of a new division to repair and or oversee defects coming out of the factory, (someone correct me if I am wrong), I am sure this is a direct result of cutting down on the cost of warranty work paid to the dealers.
In the meantime I prepare for the worst and take it as it comes, and enjoy the days when things work out!

Don't know about a division dedicated to fixing warranty repairs, but Jayco changed (2019) one policy designed to get folks with warranty work back on the road much quicker.
If the dealers do what they are supposed to do, it will make a huge difference. In the past, a dealer, when doing any warranty work, had to diagnose the problem, then contact Jayco to get an OK to fix the problem under warranty. They had to wait until Jayco gave them the OK to fix the problem. Then the dealer got to work fixing what was wrong.
One dealer I ran across, Bish's RV Supercenter in Idaho Falls, ID, did this for me well before the policy change and it certainly made a huge difference for someone who was far from home, Virginia, that was touring the Rocky Mountains at the time. This was the summer of 2018.
The bathroom faucet began to leak badly. It had been leaking a little before. In any case, I needed some relief and the trailer was only 1 year into the 2 year warranty. The dealer worked me into his schedule the morning we were passing through Idaho Falls, traveling from Arco, ID (Craters of the Moon National Monument) on the way to Grand Teton NP.
Long story short, Bish's diagnosed the problem, (threads on the faucet had been cross threaded when installed at the factory), and immediately took a new faucet off the shelf installed it including new cone washers, and I was on my way. Lost maybe 2 hours.
If Bish's had taken the time to run the repair by Jayco, I probably would have lost a least one day, maybe more, depending on how responsive HQ was.
Now, if all the dealers will take the change to heart, it will certainly help get a lot of folks with warranty work back on the road quickly.

It's really the luck of the draw.
I've owned mine for 3 years now... other than wall attachments falling off as result of rough roads, I've never had an issue. Never had to use the 2 year warranty.
When I researched and bought an RV, I was expecting a litany of issues but every component has worked and not failed.
But we've used it about 28 days a year and over 5 trips per year. For last year, when not in use, it's in a fully enclosed garage. Maybe that's saving the wear and tear.

Ha! The day I divorced my first wife, and the day I married my second wife!

Atlee is right. On the afternoon before our first trip with our new Jayco, I sensed the converter just wasn’t working. I called the dealer we bought it from and explained the problem and that we were heading out first thing in the morning. They told me to bring it down (15 miles away). Sure enough, the converter was bad. They had another and installed it, apologizing for it taking several hours (on a Friday no less). A good dealer can make up for a lot when there are problems.
