Camco 39463 Sewer Cap w/Hose Connection

I'm using my RV indoors this winter (heated garage) and I wanted to attach a Camco 39463 Sewer Cap w/Hose Connection and attache a garden hose to it to drain my gray water on occasion. On my first use, however, it wouldn't drain. Nothing came out. New hose. No kinks in the hose. Hose lays flat on the ground. Gray water tank isn't plugged. Is my 50' hose too long? Any ideas?

It should work, but may be mighty slow. Would try shortening the hose if you can. Need to make sure the entire length of hose is lower than your holding tanks, no up hill as you are relying on gravity. You will also need lots of water in your grey tank to help "push" the water through the hose.

Is it possible that a solid chunk from the black tank remained in the drain pipe ahead of the opening, and the gray water washed it loose, plugging the small hose? The gray water shouldn't have any problem traveling the length of the hose, as long as, like mentioned above, the entire hose is below the level of the gray tank.

I opened the right valve. I'm going to try again tomorrow and see what happens.
