Camco wheel chocks
Has anyone tried or own these? Any comparison against the Bal X chocks? About half he cost of the Bal X chocks for a pair.

I am using these. I like them, I cannot compare them to BAL X-Chokes.

Never tried the Bal X but I use these and they work great! Easy to tighten and no back and forth movement when they are installed. At only $20 a piece they are a great deal. Easy to chock the wheels when they are on leveling blocks!!!

Not sure about those, but I have the Bal X and am happy with those. I think I paid like $65 for both, from amazon.

I am using BAL X chocks, which work well. These by Camco look like they should work, and the only possible negatives would be that the BALs give you a wrench to tighten, while these appear to have a knob. You can get more leverage, and therefore tightness, with the wrench. And how long would the plastic last, as opposed to the solid steel of the BAL ? Just my thoughts . . . .

I had the Bal x with my first camper and they werked great. When I bought my second trailer the Bal x wouldn't go between the tires. I sold them and just use chocks now. Been looking at these though.

I too, am suspicious of the plastic's life expectancy because certain types of plastics deteriorate over time, thus reducing their strength which, in turn, could lead to failure. Those plastic wheel chocks that many folks shove under their tires could have a service life expectancy, and those that do, usually have a date stamp somewhere on the chock as to when they should be no longer be used and replaced. My regular wheel chocks are solid rubber and weigh in the neighborhood of 5 pounds each. But, to be honest, when in level situations, I often chock each wheel with a house brick.
While I can’t vouch for the Camco, I can for the BAL. I’ve had my BAL between-the-wheels chock (I 'm not sure if they were called “X-type” back then) since I bought my TT back in 2000. With the ratcheting wrench (that was included), I can really tighten it up. I recall paying about $50.00 for it back then (which I thought was a lot of money too) but, I’ve never had to buy another one.

They worked great on my old hybrid, but are worthless on my new trailer. Next door neighbor had same results.

Two sizes...gotta make sure you order the right size.
They "look" good.... But at just twice the price, you can get BAL X-chocks... buyer preference at this point.
