I'm looking at it now and see quite a bit of content. Is there a particular city you'd like me to check?

RVParky.com has an app and is free! And, it includes Canada!

There is a free Allstays and the "pro" paid Allstays. The free does include Canada so I assume the paid would also. I pulled this for BC as an example from the free

How can the Allstays website/app NOT have a filter for California beach camping?? Trying to find a last minute beach site for this weekend. Probably impossible but not giving up yet!

Maybe they figure you can just do a map search? Besides, we are only 1 of the 50 states even though a lot of Californians think it's the ONLY state.

I'll try not to take that as a jab...

I don't think hoping to see a beach camping filter on a coastal state such as CA is an unusual thing to expect. Yes, could use the map but on a tiny phone it would be easier to use a filter that listed them. JMHO

I would also like an app that can filter by available spots all in one app instead of going to each website individually but that might be impossible.

I live in the Central Valley, so it was a jab, but a neighborly one.

Would be really tough to have availability for each campground. Most of them use different software to track their reservations and some don't use any software at all. That means somebody from AllStays would have to call and find this information out on so,e sort of schedule, so the availability info would most likely be out of date.

Would be the killer feature, though.

Hope you are using ReserveAmerica for state campgrounds; in northern California that is the best way to get a beach-frontage spot.

Yes, but last minute like this every single beach site is booked. I signed up for alerts if there are any cancellations.

I think you need to book them 6 months in advance. Especially for a holiday weekend.

We use Allstays on a regular basis and have been very happy with it. As we are traveling, I like to check out all the various campgrounds in a given area, then look at the reviews and price. We have been very successful in finding just the right place to spend the night as we travel. I don't think we ever paid a penny for the app. We have it on our phones as well as our iPad.

No hard feelings then. Well, no cancellations so far so looks like this weekend is a bust. The good news is that I now have some idea of places we'd like to go and when I need to get on the computer to reserve them.
