I saw this when I went to recreation.gov this morning to try to make a reservation for this summer in a hard-to-get area. Saw something similar at BLM Website.

Not so, It's a good one but the do have to pay for it. They fall under the Civil Service laws even if they don't like it. Google it.

Well, not during the shutdown. When it is over, all federal employees will get paid even for the days they were off during the shutdown. When I was in the military and later in civil service, went thru a couple of these things. The same money that would have been spent with no shutdown will still get spent at the end of any shutdown. A shutdown is just an orchestrated delay and a ruse to scare everyone. All part of the game.
