can slide topper awning be added?

hi
can a slide topper awning be added to this kitchen slide on the door side?
curious because it has a rail or gutter above it but the patio awning is above that
we go to an area that gets frequent wind rain storms and would need to retract the awning when the wind gusts this would leave the slide un protected
have any of you done this?

Depends on the total distance between the gutter and bottom of awning. Also brackets will have to be flipped as they did on out PINNACLE.
