Question Carpet or no carpet in TT/ 5th wheels

It seems to me that there’s a trend in the newer units to have little or no carpet. For those of you with newer trailers, do you have any carpet and where is it? In particular, are the slides carpeted and if not how is the edge of the slide finished? Could you snap a pic of the edge? I’m planning to remove most of the carpet and replacing it with vinyl planking.
I’d also like to hear suggestions for finishing the slide edge.
Thanks to all!

We chose carpet in the living area for a variety of reasons, but other than that it’s just in the slide with the dining area & theater seat. The kitchen slide is not carpeted and has a piece of trim that overlaps the front of the slide and about 1/2” of floor. I’ll try to get a picture for you tomorrow

In our 2018 FW, we have carpet in the bedroom and slide that contains the dining area and theatre seating. The slide with the fridge, range and entertainment center is wood.

Our 2018 has no carpet, did not want it. The slide has about a half to 1 inch rise when in, and sits almost flush when extended. It has a slight slope similar to the transition piece in a home with different flooring such as in a doorway. The edge of the vinyl has a edging sewn onto it somewhat similar to the edging on an area rug.

My 2013 had carpet in hallway and bedroom. We camp a lot so it shows wear.

2018 is on its way and it’s all flooring.

My 23RB has nothing but flooring. We put down rugs where needed, and/or for decoration.

We paid for the upgrade of carpet in the living room. I wanted it so that our daughter could play on the floor and not be sitting on hard linoleum. Its easy to vacuum and hasn't shown any wear yet.

The only carpet in our 17’ 23 BHM is on the slide under the dining table.
