This could also go in bonehead mistakes. We've crossed the Canadian border multiple times. Never had an issue. Yesterday we hit a crossing that is closed on weekends. Closet gas station closed, 3 1/2 hour trip ended up over 6 hours. Still was a great drive which we enjoyed, BUT, check to make sure the border station is open. Thankfully DW loves the country drives.
