Chill 'n store option

My husband and I are thinking about purchasing a Jay Flight 28BHS. We saw one at an RV show here in central Texas last weekend and really liked it. The brochure we picked up mentioned a Maxistor option, which looked great on the unit we looked at. However, the Jayco website only lists a "Chill N' Store" option, and a salesperson at RV Direct told me that Chill N' Store has replaced the Maxistor option for 2013.

I haven't yet found a picture of a 28BHS with the Chill N' Store option, but on other units it looks like a smaller opening about half-filled with a dorm fridge. I would have absolutely no use for that (whereas the Maxistor looked like it could be really useful). Does anybody have more information about this option or about other changes for 2013 that we should be aware of before ordering a unit?

Chill 'N Store update

Just as an update: I drove down to the dealer today; they didn't have a 28BHS in stock, but they had a Jay Flight Swift 264BH on the lot with what I first thought was a Chill 'N Store option. However, this is actually just a bigger storage door, with no built-in refrigerator or other nonsense. Perhaps the larger storage door is available on all the new units? It's a reasonable compromise, though bikes and other large equipment wouldn't fit.

What does the HS stand for? I wish I had that storage compartment eitherway.

We have the 2012 28bhs with the maxistor door and love it. Also have not heard of the chill n store. Hope you are able to find what you are looking.

Update - We ordered and received a new 2013 Jay Flight 28BHS. We ordered it with no Chill-n-Store option. We were thrilled that it came with the new, taller storage door just like the one pictured on the other unit earlier in this thread.

Looks like they are right, I do not see the Maxistor as an option on the floorplan. That feature was available for many years on the 28/29BHS. Do not have it on mine or the outside frig and make out just fine. But I put the bikes in the truck bed. I do like that larger door you referenced in your posts, mine has the smaller door which cam limit the exterior access somewhat.

Let me clarify my earlier comment.... we bought an even smaller (not a Jayco) TT than what we have now. We really enjoy what we have.
