Cleaning underside of awning and slide toppers

Help! Has anybody got ideas on how to clean the mold and mildew from under the slide toppers( I have three), and the awning. They are all white underneath! I heard something about spraying them with a bleach mixture, then rolling them back up and wait to rinse. Is this correct?

Just did the awning on the weekend. Used a garden sprayer to apply a solution of water, bleach and degreaser, rolled it up and left it overnight. It didn't do much. So I reapplied the solution, used an extension pole and the brush and washed the top first from the roof of the 5er and then the underside. I had to use magic erasers on the harder spots while on a step ladder. As I retracted the awning I got the top side from the step ladder. Now it is clean except for some small non mold stains from pine needles.

If you add some DAWN dish detergent it works even better.

On my previous TT I used the Mr Clean Magic eraser pads and it would clean easily and quickly the dirt and mold on the awning!

I used Dawn and Awesome mixed together and a rv wash brush on a pole to do mine today and it came out... well Awesome. I was going to do the bleach/spray on trick, but no sprayer in the camper.

Cleaning slide toppers

Thanks everybody, those are great ideas! Never thought of magic erasers. This is our third rv and there is always something to do maintaining.
