Same here, the house one is just over 8 years but the TT one didn't make 5.

I agree that most don't last as they claim. When they start going off at 3:00am for no reason, I don't hesitate to replace it.

Mine seem to be lasting exactly a year and a half. When I talked to Safe T Alert they said that the more exposure the sensors get the shorter their life. Mine is located on the back of our dinette just inside the entry door so it gets all of the smoke from the fire pit / grill, etc. And I agree 100% that they decide to fail at 3:00am.
