Coleman Coffee Maker
Does anyone have any input regarding this coffee maker? Seems like a great idea, but........

Yup, I have one, they work great! It uses regular filter. It takes about 15 mins to make coffee

I also have one. It works well, although it does take some time to make a pot of coffee. The worst part
is that it does not have the ability to keep the pot of coffee warm. If I remember the instructions
correctly, you have to shut off the burn once the coffee is brewed. I usually just take the pot and set in on the still warm burner (Coleman propane stove) and that will help keep the coffee warm. I read on another forum that some people will pour the coffee into a carafe or thermos to keep it hot. Overall it's worth the money in my humble opinion.

I use mine on on a Coleman portable stove that I still bring with me......I also just bought the Coleman portable coffee maker that is self contaned so that you don't have to use a stove....That one works pretty good too. I still do my cooking outside....I bring a 3 burner 90,000 btu stove to cook on as well.

I had one and it did work just fine. I however went the bathroom one time and stayed to long when i I got back it had finsihed brewing the coffee and burned up all the part that sits over the burner... bummer... but that was may fault...
I now use a Cuisinart DGB600B coffee grind maker used with my Generator when I am re-chargeing my batteries every morning when camping off the power grid. IT grinds and brews fresh bean coffee is just five minutes and drips into a thermos coffee pot. Keeps coffee hot all day long... My backup coffee maker is a COLEMAN old fashion perculator that you set over a propane burner. The big ole blue one...

We have used a Coleman coffeemaker like the one in the link for years in our Scout Troop, works well over most stoves. In the Jayco we use a regular electric auto drip.

I have used and abused one. Saved us during the dereccho induced power outage this year. Works good but be sure to follow the instructions regarding maximum heat. Over use on the Camp Chef stove on scout tailgate trips and the Camp Chef Big Gas Grille at home have taken their toll on mine. Time for a new one, but it wasn't a fault of the product, it was abuse by the owner!
