Consigning

We would like to consign our Class C. Our current insurance carrier, Geico, does not provide coverage during consignment. We contacted numerous other companies and none of them will cover us for an upcoming consignment. One, National Interstate, would cover consignment if we had coverage with them for at least a year.

All of the dealers we contacted said that the RV owner needs to provide insurance; that their insurance covers a consigned vehicle once it it driven off of the lot, but not damage to the vehicle when on the lot, theft, etc.

We're assuming that most consignment customers do not realize they are not covered or, if they do, they are willing to take the risk.

Does anyone know of an insurance company we could contact for coverage? Thanks.

It probably varies by state.

Since most dealers also provide storage what would the difference be, or does your policy not cover that either if it's at a dealer vs a storage lot?
