converter cooling fan

Question; When does the converter cooling fan run. Problem; When I run the slide out, just as it nears all out the converter quits. After a few minutes the converter comes back on. I read that there is a heat relay or ? that kicks out if the converter gets to hot. This happens only when I run on the aux 12 volt battery. It doesn't quit on shore power. The cooling fan blades are not turning.
The grill in front of the fan is clear. I did not have this problem when I put it away last fall.
I have a Jayco x23B 2011.
Any help out there?
Bob

I would have the battery checked. Sounds like a low voltage problem to me.
