Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State!

Here's a video on restringing a day/night shade from. There are also instructions in the package of cord, with diaghrams of how it's supposed to look like.

The only advice I can give you after doing several in out TT, is be VERY careful removing the plastic end caps. Use a small flat blade screwdriver, and go slowly, a little at a time ot they will break. Been there. Both the cord and the end caps are available on Amazon. You may have to search a little if you have a different color need.
