De-winterized and raring to go

Just finished de-winterized, Winter cover has been removed, antenna has been put back on, battery is all charged, generator service and all ready to use. We are going to take our new TT out for her maiden voyage this coming weekend. long range foercast looks good...I ran all systems this weekend and everything is perfect!!

I have noticed that winterizing my Jayco is a depressing time and de-winterizing it is an exciting time......wonder why!

I can't stop thinking about our maiden voyage to Hocking Hills over Easter weekend. Owning a TT has always been a dream of mine (but not the hubsters!) and finally convinced him to purchase one. Guess what?! He had a wonderful time, too! We spent 4 nights at the state CG and both agreed one more night would of been perfect, but those darn kids had to get back to school!

We just did our maiden voyage last weekend. We went to a full survice site just to get our feet wet. We had a blast. Everything went well minus the elusive water leak in the bathroom, can't find where it's coming from. I'm bringing the trailer into the dealer to have a look.

Anyhow hope your maiden voyage is a fun one. Let us know how it turned out. Are you staying local ?

We were going camping and ran into a snag, I was going to hook up after work to head out but in the morning before I headed to work, I hooked up the battery to run the water to all the taps to flush them one more time all fill the fresh water tank. When I hit the switch, I got nothing out of the taps. I was not a happy camper so to speak. After doing some lengthy diagnosis and looking for the pump. I found it under the dinette seat by the water inlet. It was under a panel that had a couple screws holding it on. It turns out that there is another bypass valve there too. I opened it up problem was solved. It got too late to go.....very disappointing to say the least. We will try again in 3 weeks

Sorry it didn't work out for you this time, but you did gain some useful knowledge of your plumbing system. What exactly is to late to go? We go camping on weekends for the most part. I get off work at 5pm get hooked up and leave about 7pm friday night and get to camp around 8-9pm. It is very helpful to get a pullthrough site when arriving in the dark. That's the main reason we moved from a popup to a TT so we could pull up and go in camper right away.

Wife did not want to go because it was late, but we did end up going the following day even if it was for only one night. It was awesome.....had another sput when we got there. I could not get really hot water....I did not re-open the bypass valve

We only went for one night, figured out the issue for no water when I hit the switch..water tank valves were closed....when I tested the water, I had it hook up to city water....then I had to figure out why I only had luke warm to cold water and why the hot water tank wasn't firing on propane. ( it was the bypass valve at the hot water tank that I opened when I was trying to get the pump to work ) Other than that we had a wonderful time out, just the two of us and it was the most relaxing camping trip that I have ever had. Set up was a breeze as well as packing up. We even had rain overnight.....the pitter patter was soothing....and our trailer stayed nice and dry inside. There was a little light condensation on the windows, but nothing serious. The best part? seeing my wife happy and relaxed and actually enjoying the overnight trip. The only ugly job was cleaning the black holding tank.....I was not happy when the hose came loose from the coupler while I was lifting the drain hose to empty the waste from the hose. Fortunately most of tank had emptied. So check the hose clamp on waste hose, mine was not tight. I tightened the clamp and all is good.
