Dealers Worth Knowing About

I thought about starting this thread to identify dealers/repair shops/parts suppliers who have earned a good reputation for treating their customers right. We certainly all have had bad experiences but often times, we never hear about the good experiences. Do you have a good dealer? If so, let's help others by making them aware of the good places to deal with.

I've purchased a couple of items from them and they've been great to deal with. They can get the stuff you need from Jayco that you can't buy without going through a dealer. They've even given me a discount both times just for asking. Highly recommended.

Van's RV Center in Windsor CT. They were great to us when we bought the trailer and have fixed everything we have had an issue with no questions asked.

I use Crestview RV Superstore in Selma, TX. I bought my trailer there, and have had a few service encounters (all very positive). It is one of three dealerships owned my the same family (another in Buda, TX and a third in Georgetown, TX), but I liked the one in Selma the best. Steve Spearing is the GM over there, and he is great to work with. The service guys have always been great to deal with as well. The only complaint I have is that during my PDI, my tech gave me some questionable advice, but I had already done my homework, so I already knew most of what I was doing. I will also say that sales people are sales people. He has some good ones there, and some that I believe are a bit questionable. Honestly, I didn't deal with the sales people much; I dealt directly with Steve for the most part, the salesman just prepared the paper work.

One nice thing about his dealership is that it's low-pressure. All the units on the lot are open so you can walk around and look in them without being hounded the whole time. And he has a wide variety of units to look at. If you go there, bring a notebook and a camera; you'll never keep them all straight in your mind when you're shopping.

Pan Pacific RV Center, Morgan Hill (near San Jose) - they have 2 more California locations. So far, pleased.

We've enjoyed 3 transactions with them since 2006 and have not had a difficult time with anything. Recently stopped in with a failed part in hand and they handed me a replacement from stock after I promised to call with the serial number of the appliance it was going into. I didn't make it home before they called to say never mind, the SN was on file in their records.

I have had great luck with Irvines Camper Sales in Little Hocking, Ohio. Their service department has always been top notch and they have been a pleasure to deal with.

For the Omaha, NE, area I give a shout-out to Apache Camper. We have purchased 4 units from them and find them to provide honest and professional sales and service.

Our preferred dealer went out of business a number of years ago. I was in there buying a part -- even though it was a good 45 minutes out of my way to go there -- and I saw the going out of business sign. I asked the owner what's up, and he said they're retiring and wanted to go out on a high note, and didn't want to sell the business to someone else who might ruin the good name and reputation they built up. "I'm sorry to hear that," I said. "I'm not," he replied. "Now I get to go camping."

We haven't dealt with our current dealer long enough to really get a good idea of what they're like, but so far it's been pretty good. They offer free 2 year roadside assistance to their clients within 500 km of their dealership, which pretty much covers any place we'll go. The few issues we've had with the trailer were dealt with quickly and professionally.

We highly endorse Gayle Klein in Mountville, Pa.. We have only bought one unit from these folks but have had exceptional service over the last three years. Our particular 5th wheel has more then its share of issues. But both Jayco and Gayle Klein have been very good to work with.

Ditto for Rick's RV. We just bought from them last year and they've been great with sales and service.

Cenla camping center in Alexandria, Louisiana. They are awesome! Great people to do business with. Just about everyone there has been there 20 years or longer, that's tells you that they treat their employees right. Bought my camper almost 2 years ago at a great price and have had some warranty work done. Very satisfied with their work

RV City in Morinville Alberta.

Voyager RV in Winfield BC.

Both because they have gone well beyond what could have been reasonably expected of a dealer...and did it happily.

I'm really enjoying hearing the positive experiences you all have had with your dealers. Wouldn't it be great to have a long list by state/province to refer to while on the road if emergency service is needed?

Northern RV

Northern RV
US Hwy 2
Quinnesec, Michigan

This place has a wonderful service department. No hassles even if you didn't buy your camper there. They even stayed late to fix a stove connector on our popup as a warranty issue after the place where we bought it couldn't find any problem.

Northern RV is 1500 miles from our home but we still recommend it highly.

Hopes Campers Monroe, Louisiana. They are a family owned and operated business. They are down to earth kind of people and don't play games or use high pressure tactics. But above all they are honest if Lloyd or Michael tell you something it will happen. My wife and I have bought 2 RVs from them as well as my parents who have bought 2 also.
