Delivery?

so we ordered an Eagle 330 RSTS July 1, came off the production line Oct 18. On Wednesday Nov 1 our dealer relays to us that it is on the road and Jayco says it will be delivered Thursday Nov 2. Still not here as of Nov 5. Whats the deal, no one can explain where it is.

Today is Sunday. Many dealers are closed or won't accept deliveries on Sundays so IMO it's unlikely it will be delivered today.

Jayco no longer has Jayco drivers delivering units so Jayco would have to check with the transporter company that is transporting your trailer. The transporter company would then have to call the person hauling your trailer. Again, today is Sunday so it is unlikely you'll reach anyone that can help.

Check with your dealer in the morning. Maybe they received a phone message from the driver over the weekend. (I had started typing all kinds of stuff related to transporting RVs and why a two day drive could take longer, but that would be guessing and really no help to you so I deleted it.)

If your dealer doesn't have updated info, my next best idea would be to call Jayco. If Jayco can't follow up on the delivery, maybe they will give you the unit information and the name of the delivery company and you could contact the delivery company.

I hope some of that helps a bit.

Its gone, vanished, kaput, and you are out all the money and have no recourse!

Seriously, crack open a beer or two, watch some football, when you wake up on Monday morning you will be able to actually call someone who might have an answer for you.

The independent delivery driver is probably having a nice weekend camping lol... I can understand the wondering but I wouldn't let it consume your day. Like the previous posts, you will have to wait and make some calls tomorrow.

Unless things have changed drastically (and it doesn't seem likely), the driver doesn't have keys and is not allowed in the trailer (of course it's different for motorhomes). The only exception I'm aware of for trailers would be when delivering in Canada to allow the inside of the trailer to be inspected at the border crossing.

When our unit was delivered last month Jayco told our dealer the rig was already on the road when in fact it hadn’t even been picked up yet. The driver called a week later to say he was on his way.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as we have ours!

Do a thourough walk through /pdi. Get up on the roof and look for caulking on all seams, crawl underneath, operate all slides and open all drawers , cupboards.

Dealer is much more motivated to fix any and all issues before you sign on the dotted line

Good luck!
