Delivery delay

Anyone waiting on a trailer to be built and delivered? We ordered the new 166fbs beginning of September, was told October delivery, which moved to late November, and today was told late January. Kinda disappointing as we were rushed to hand over our trade in right away with the expectation that the new one would arrive soon.

Should I just suck it up and wait? Has anyone had major delays in the past and asked for compensation from the dealer in any way? Or should I just accept that it is what it is, especially this year, and just deal with it?

You may get the next year version. Make sure the colors and options are the same.

Delays this year from suppliers shipping to the Jayco plant. Component companies were closed, and are trying to catch up with the demand after manufacturing opened up again.

Question Where's my camper?

Hi,

I ordered a new 2021 Jayco 16RK in August of 2020. Delivery was suppose to be October 2020. The dealer called in March and said we should see it by the end of April 2021 or early May 2021.

Has anyone experienced this delay also and has the dealer or Jayco made any adjustments or concessions?

Thank you and Happy Camping

I haven't seen anybody say that their order was delayed that long. Are you sure the dealer sent the order in when he said he did.

They were more then happy to take my $2000 deposit. They said they checked with Jayco and they had to wait for them to run fabrication of that line, and of course delays on parts due to Covid 19. I will give them 2 more weeks to see what they have to say. Thank you

IT came in!

My 16RK finally arrived middle of June 2021 (about 10 months to get). Wilkens RV in Bath NY was very good to deal with and has provided great service after the sale. Went camping and everything works great. We really like this camper!

I ordered a 280RSOK in March of 2021 I was first told delivery would be November. Now it will be somewhere between April and June 2022.

It is my understanding that Jayco is only producing specific floor plans so they do not have to change the assembly process so much.

I am sure supply chain issues are a factor as well.

Many many years ago I learned the hard way to NEVER give up the trade until the new one arrives. Your dealer is a skunk...

With this market, the dealer probably had the trade sold the same day they took it in

Our was due for build week of Dec 7th. I followed up with the dealer and learned we are waiting for parts.

If you have a VIN you can go here

https://www.jayco.com/contact-towable-service/

or here

https://www.jayco.com/contact-motorized-service/

Response was within a couple of hours.

"Currently your motorhome is just awaiting the arrival of the theatre seating. This has been one of the toughest components to get due to the supply chain shortages. My hope would be that it finishes yet this month for you and that the unit would arrive to the dealership by the end of January, hopefully at the very latest. Our production teams are shut down starting December 20th- January 3rd so that could potentially cause a small delay but we are doing our best to get the unit completed and into your possession."

I can wait, we are not going anywhere until May.

Regards,

John
