Denver RV Mattress-very disappointed

I have a 2016 27.5 RLS fifth wheel with the Denver Rv Mattress. I love the fifth wheel but am so disappointed with the mattress. I'm 6'3, 205 lbs. and although I could lose a few lbs., not bad for a 67 year old. The mattress is totally unacceptable to me. It has no support and its like climbing out of a hole to roll over to the middle of the bed. It has a permanent indentation where I normally sleep. Anyone else have a problem with this mattress?

The Forum is full of posts (Just do a search on "Denver Mattress") of people dissatisfied. Some have added memory foam toppers but most simply replace them.

Living in Denver, I've had multiple opportunities to own various Denver mattresses. They really are on the low end, regardless of what kind of bed you buy from them. We picked up their top of the line, pillow top, king for our house... that mattress was dead in 4 years and I only weigh 175#. It was kind of cool for about 2 minutes to see a local brand in my new camper, but I was quickly reminded that *all* of their mattresses are pretty lame. It will get swapped out after I've had a little more 'fun' on it.

same for me.
I want to support a local brand, and we still have two Denver mattresses at home, but they just don't seem to be worth the money.

too bad.

Put it on your short list of upgrades; my opinion
1. New tires
2. New matress
3. Upgrade water filter

No way around it, we bought ours at Sams half way into our first trip.

I replaced mine without ever sleeping on it. Laid on it during PDI and knew immediately it had to go.

I don't know how, but ours lasted us the first two years, and that was full timing. We got a Sleep Number two years ago. We opted for the standard queen, not the RV queen, the only difference is square corners. It was half the price and works fine.

I guess I'm in the minority here but after almost 30 nights sleeping on my Denver Mattress I don't find it bad. In fact its fairly comfortable.

Full Disclosure though - I worked midnights for nearly 27 years and was very comfortable napping in vehicle driver seats so I may not be the best judge of comfort...

Replaced our original Denver mattress with the Denver RV Supreme Euro Top mattress and we are really pleased with it. Actually considering getting one for the house as well

IIRC the mattress in my new 2016 23RLSW is a Denver. It's DEAD after only about 40 nights camping this year. Don't get me wrong, I actually expected that. But DW hates memory foam, and we both need a really firm mattress. Any recommendations for a good quality replacement? BTW, it's a short queen, so it's obviously going to be a special order deal. Not especially interested in shopping at CW, or ordering from my dealer's catalogs. Thanks!

Roger

mattress

One of our beds at home is a Temperpedic (sp?)and it can be a hassle to even turn over in bed or when getting up in the morning.

The Denver RV Supreme Euro Top we got for the trailer is superior by far

Ours (in the trailer) is a short queen.

Gee, wish I had a water filter to upgrade. For now I attach one of those blue water pressure hogs to my water line.
