Dewinterizing

We're leaving for a month-long trip March 18. We're trying to decide whether to dewinterize before we start or just try to use campground facilities until we get to a little warmer weather. Temperatures in the first 4 or 5 days are in low 60s in the day but upper 20s or low 30s at night. Are we safe to dewinterize since we will be living in it with heat on and our tanks are heated. This will be our first trip except the 1000 mile trip home when we bought it in November.

What unit do you have?
Fully insulated underbody?

I am of a mind to think you are good to go. Buy some anti-freeze and fill your drains when you pick it again.

With that range of temps you should be good to go, keep heat and tank heaters on at night and that 20 something for the overnight hours won't hurt anything. Have a great trip.

We have a Greyhawk 26y. We are winterized now and will leave March 18. I know by end of March we wouldn't have this particular question but since we are leaving so early, we are nervous about dewintering this early. My question is will pipes freeze when temps are 60 in day but 30 at night?

We dewinterized to sanitize and got interrupted by a visitor.
By the time we could get back to the job of refilling with antifreeze it was dark. Dark and 19f
We ran the furnace the next morning as the water pomp wasn’t happy and in 30 min were rewinterized
So you should be good to go though I don’t recommend doing what we did
We have no heated belly

Nope. You’ll be just fine. When you drop into the teens with an insulated body that’s when you’ll worry.
