Grey side winterized?

Back to the " I need an Arc" story.

So the dealer says the water leak ( under belly ) and " defective pipe" is on the gray side.

Jayco denying claim, saying its freeze damage.

Other than the P-traps, anyone ever " winterized " the grey tank drain pipes?

LOL

If there is water in the grey tank, it very possibly could freeze and break a pipe. I always drain the tanks before winterizing then pour a little antifreeze in them.

I think I am going to take the cover off tomorrow if the rain stays away. Pulled the low point drains last week to start getting antifreeze out. First trip is Easter weekend hopefully we will squeeze one more in before then.

Grey tank was drained. Not a problem with the tank
They are saying the the drain pipe between the shower pan and tank is the problem.

So how does a drain pipe freeze?

If grey tank was drained and antifreeze was poured in the ptraps you did all you could do and it should not have broke from freezing......

Could have de-winterized today at 60 degrees, but 9-12 inches of snow is predicted here in our Shenandoah Valley for Tues-Wed next week, so all I could do was replace the leaking check valve in the black tank flusher, and run the slides out and back in, just for the fun of it. BTW, a lousy stink bug found its way into that valve and caused the leak late last fall. It died in there and there's no getting it out, so - replaced the valve.

Not pitched properly, or something obstructing water flow.

it pretty darn cold up here in Kingston Ontario Canada! I grew up in Quebec and still don't remember such a harsh long winter! anywho. my better half shovelled the snowbanks in front of the 5th wheel, we never had to worry about this but at this rate, it could stay there until july! going to Gettysburg KOA and then Cherryhill Park in April. I'll be de-winterizing in Gettysburg. Cannot do so until then , it's been a polar vortex all winter and spring! what's up with this global warming?

I find this thread somewhat insulting and hurtful.
Just kidding, but I am very jealous.

My front yard as of last Thursday:

Until a similar amount of snow disappears from around a certain pole barn, I can't get our Eagle TT out much less de-winterize it.

You have NO IDEA!!!!
Being a Yooper, I'm used to a certain amount of winter/snow.
But this winter has been so 'over the top', it's been unbelievable.
There are more records that have fallen than not.

I question whether or not our favorite state park will be able to open for Memorial Day.

Haven't winterized yet, as temps got down into single digits last night and will only get up to 30 today. Looks like it will warm up this weekend, and (hopefully) stay warm for a while. Maybe I can get it done next week.
