Day one - Arrived at camping destination -one hour or so
Set up went well, everything working fine - had pre homemade chilli and cheese biscuits reheated in mic for supper. Watched movie on tv. Had hot shower in Tt and a good sleep
Day two - rainy all day, but stayed dry and toasty warm in camper. For lunch had precooked chicken made into chicken salad sandwich with cranberries mixed in on fresh crossants for supper we had homemade pepperoni pizza ( dough had been premade and frozen at home) nice campfire, another hot shower and another movie and a toasty bed due to heated mattress
p.s set off the fire alarm from small amount to smoke from oven a couple of times, guess I have to figure that out yet!
Daythree- thought we were low on propane, drove to nearby town but tank was still pretty full, the gauge we bought must be faulty. Made scrambled eggs with left over pepperoni fried into the eggs on stove top. For supper we had leftover chicken made into Caesar salad for supper
Day four - rain stopped. Winers and beans for lunch. A great hike out to a small lake, saw a brown bear on the way back. Drove out to another nearby small lake for a canoe ride. Home to trailer to make steaks on the portable grill with microwaved baked potato and corn another great campfire before exhaustion and bed!
Day five - time to pack up and head home. All went well. Decided to go to the weigh scale when we got home to check trailer weight. We were under the max towing by about 700 lbs but over our tongue weight by about 60 lbs. guess we will have to try to move some weight more to the back (we do have a weight distribution hitch with anti sway bars). We only have one 30lb propane tank which we used to cook and to warm up the trailer - (5-6) hours per day
All in all our first trip was a great success! Thanks for all the help and encouragement to everyone on this forum
All in all a great success
