Never purchased one on any of my TT's. During the initial base warranty I always made sure that I followed the manufactures PM requirements (documented) so in the event of a warranty service claim the manufacture didn't have any wiggle room to challenge it.
Stay on top of things during the warranty period and you should have a reliable unit (always the exception) when the base warranty is behind you.
Save your money, that's my opinion.

I never buy an extended warranty on anything. A savings account is a much better way to go. Add up all the money you could spend on warranties on the stuff you buy, and sock it away in the bank, then if one of those things breaks you'll have more than enough to cover it. I haven't had to do any warranty work on anything in years and years, and that was still covered by the basic warranty.
Extended warranties just aren't worth it.

Statisically, it's a losing bet to buy an extended warranty on almost anything. You are betting that you get a lemon, they are betting that any repairs will be less than the extended warranty. I go with the odds. Always.

Nope, didn't buy it. Too expensive IMO. But...I know some who have and were thankful they did. It's very much a personal choice...

I've never regretted an extended warranty on a vehicle but I've never heard anyone say a kind word for the ones on RVs. I very rarely get one on anything else.

When we bought our 3 yr old Jayco, the dealer offered a generic extended warranty for approx. $1500. That was a bit more than 10% of the price! I declined.

jjcj-- The way I see it, the thing that scares people into extended warrentees is roof leaks, which you have to inspect & maintain yourself & if you don't your are probably on your own for any expense.

Which is curious since all RV warranties exclude damage from roof leaks. A few rolls of properly applied Eternabond would be far cheaper and more effective insurance than an extended warranty for roof leaks.

Got it! Even though I thought I could handle most repairs myself, my wife wanted us to have it. Even though I could have talked her out of us getting it, I knew it gave her peace of mind and she deserves that more than I could tell you. I respectfully went along with her decision on this. We don't buy extended warranties on anything.
Our friends are at the end of their regular warranty on a new 5er they bought. They have had four windows replaced, slide mechanism and a host of other problems that have cropped up dealt with by Northland. They make great trailers and our friends say the company has been good. They have a delam area that the company claims won't be a problem. If this turns into a problem out of warranty I can potentially see a extended warranty being useful in a situation where the company refuses to deal with it.
The way it was explained to us is if you don't use it, the cost will be a 100 dollars a year over the 5 years. You get 2 grand back so if things go wrong in years 3-7 you have to make a judgement call on wether you should use it and loose the 2 grand or fix it yourself. You could also choose to spend it to warranty your trailer for an additional four years if you wanted which would than more than double that yearly cost mentioned earlier.

We bought one on our 2011 365 BHS. One of the biggest reasons is we leave it permantantly parked and have a 30' deck on one side making it quite a pain to get in and out. For the next 7 years I'm not only covered bumper to bumper but in the event I need anything repaired or replaced for $50 they come right to my site and do it. Ours even includes coverage for the additional TV's and electronics we've added. Think it figured up to an additional $30 a month on the loan and figured it was worth the peace of mind. At least to us it was. I'm pretty certain within the next 7years I will use it at least a few times and if not, then they just made a couple grand off me for nothing.

Did not purchase it either. We are enjoying our third year and still no out of pocket expenses. Had a problem with the sub woofer on the stereo but the 2 year warranty took care of that.

Last month a friend's transmission failed due to water getting into it. Happily, he had the nearly two thousand dollar warranty. The shop said the water came from a failed seal. Guess what one of the excluded items in his warranty was? 'Nuf said. Well, almost. If he had not bought the warranty he'd have had a good chunk of the payment for the transmission repair.
