Did you get the reservations you wanted?

Just made all of my reservations for our trip out to the grand canyon then up to gunnison for the 4th of july holiday to see our oldest daughter. Quite a few campgrounds were full, one booked the last 3 sites while I was filling out the reservation form. Did you get what you wanted, or not?

Weekends went insanely fast, which is always expected, but managed to get into the parks we wanted, some with an adjustment to the middle of the week. I've never seen reservations at state parks go this quickly before. We may not get out as many times as last year.

We got our reservations for the Cody and Black Hills Campsites. Can't reserve Jackson Hole yet.

My wife is like a hawk. She had them all marked on the calendar and alarms set on her phone to call and book. We got all but one near Yellowstone.

Took some doing on Jan 1 but I did it. Everything for us is booked from April to end of July. We'll be campin just about every other weekend starting with the race in Atlanta in March ending with the race in Darlington on Labor Day weekend. Only month we don't camp is August an that's because I need that time to prepare for Darlington an hunting seasoning

So far, I have 4 weekends booked at out local campground. Two are in the spring and one for September and one for their last open weekend for mid October. I made those reservations back in November.

We also have 10 days at Ft. Wilderness in June. Still a big question mark as to if we will be keeping those.

The rest of the year is still undecided. We will probably pick up a few days durning the week locally during the summer when the crowds are a little less.

Just completed planning a trip a few months from now. 1 campground was already full but got everything else. There as another campground within a few miles but still very acceptable.

We have so far, can only reserve 6 months in advance so it's one week/weekend at a time. Michigan always seems to fill very quick as soon as they open for so my beloved wife is on the ball to get what we want.

Made reservations for 6 Sunday - Friday trips this summer to WI state parks. Got the dates we wanted but not the site we wanted at one park so we did good.

We were able to get all our reservations for our Western trip this summer. Not always the hoped for Site but at least good sites @ all locations, parks. Same with our Fall trip thru New England. I was doing the same as NewBlackDak's wife & had alarms set for dates/times, except I was able to do all online. Sites went quickly. Craziest was the new Online reservations for the Grand Teton area CGs. Opened @ 10:00 am and by 10:10 EST (8:10 MST) hundreds of sites were reserved. We did get a good site @ Gros Ventre CG @ 10:02.

Just an FYI; Wyoming State Parks have a new 4 month reservation policy for Residents but Nonresidents must wait an additional 8 days to reserve. See link
