Dinette Bench Doors

On our 2015 Jay Flight 26BHS, the dinette bench doors do not stay latched shut. Has anyone replaced the latches with anything better? Thanks.

I used rare earth magnets. My dinette flexes when the slide goes in and out and those latches never stayed shut. I installed a small steel plate on the door and a couple rare earth magnets on the dinette. The magnets slide along the steel so the doors stay shut during any flex.

Careful with the magnets though, they are fragile. I knew this, so I bought extra. Good thing too, I ended up breaking one screwing it down too hard.

ETA: Can't find the exact ones I used in the jungle, but these should work:

Another Edit: I think I put the magnets on the doors and the steel on the base? Either way will work, just need to find what's easiest to do.

Replaced mine with double-roller cabinet catches.

In my 05 Greyhawk, I would love to have problems with the bench doors, but no doors. Keep thinking of making some but there are steel braces holding up the seat that would block most entry into the space. Oh well, keep thinking..
