Disgusting camping practices

In an attempt to inform anyone who wonders, what are some disgusting things you have seen in a campground?

Keep it family friendly!

My first and you could call it a pet peeve also is watching someone break camp and hold the dump hose under the site fresh water faucet to rinse it out.

Things like that can be very helpful for campers who may wonder if the fresh water faucet is ok to just put your hose on!

Anyone?

People filling their fresh water tank and the dump station using the dump station's flushing hose (i.e., the one that clearly states not for filling fresh water tank)

Dumping breakfast cereal, egg shells and dirty diapers in the fire ring when leaving.

Defecating in the showers, up chucking in the showers and just leaving it.

Not making sure the sewer hose is firmly held in place and dumping all over yours and the neighbors site...and leaving it.

Need I post more? Always leaving your camp sight full of trash and debris...

Just the general laziness of some campers. Throwing trash around, beer cans in firepit, spent bullet casings, used diapers.
You would think people who enjoy camping would want to take care of their places...but no

That's why I always carried a spray bottle with strong bleach water in my utility compartment. You never know what idiot was there before you.

Pet peeve: Laying the sewer hose on the picnic table.

Your post on the other thread gave me the idea for this thread.

Saw a dog lift his leg on a fresh water spigot once. Every since, I use disposable wipes before hooking up the FW hose.

We were camped on Florida at a state park. I was dumping my blue boy at the double sided dump station. A motorhome pulled up to the other side. Pulled his black drain and let it run out on the ground and into the sloped drain hole. No hose! then drove off into the campground.

I reported him and he was evicted. The fire dept was called to wash the whole area off.

My 3 pet peeves from our last trip.

1) people setting up generators as close to my site as possible, then running 100+ feet of extension cords into their area. so I have to hear it more than the people using it do. Bonus point for it being a non-inverter gen set with major mechanical issues.

2) people with extended families (large ones) that feel they own the entire camp ground because they are related to 80% of the people camping there that weekend. My site is somewhere in the middle, and so I spend my evenings wondering why 25 people walk through my site / per hour. (This became a confrontation eventually).

3) Said family from 1, and 2 above, dropping garbage, cigarette butts and noise pollution throughout the entire camp ground. That me, my wife and daughter ended up cleaning up for them, since we always try to clean up the area we are at, even if it's other peoples trash.

A couple having a domestic in the site next to us and then "making up" on the picnic table. We have carried a portable table with us ever since.

Totally adding a spray bottle to my kit!

Used diapers have to be one of my "favorites". Being the parent of a toddler, I get that it's sometimes hard to dispose of your child's "leavings", especially if you have to carry them for any length of time before you're afforded a proper receptacle, but it's a parent's responsibility to do so properly. That and dog feces. It's really not that hard; I use the same bags for both.

But it's not just "leavings" that are "disgusting". Sometimes it's the way people treat other people. Maybe I'm getting old, or maybe I just notice more lately, but people seem to be out for "number one" with no regard for anyone else. It's like they don't know other people exist. More likely they just don't care. Either way, "disgusting" for sure.

Use disposable Clorox wipes for my connections, too.
