Dont make the same mistake

I recently lubed my air conditioning fan motor. I used penetrating oil and then some sewing machine oil. This fixed my rough bearing problem. I thought I had all of the excess oil wiped up but the next day when I went to put my A/C cover on I noticed a small amount of oil ran under the A/C and pooled up on the rubber roof just outboard of the A/C. this oil caused my rubber roof to bubble in that area. Im hoping the bubble will go away in time but am also keeping an eye on it in case it tears.

I'm not sure what rough bearings are, but if they are bad, oil will not fix them.

Not saying you will have an issue with the roofing material do to the oil ..., but nothing wrong with having a little Eternabond Sealing Tape on hand for those just-in-case minor roofing repairs. I keep a roll in my TT (used some of it to seal the front/rear end cap roof seams as a preventative measure).
