DW is gunna kill me....but have to share

So I was Outside and DW was making breakfast when I hear the smoke detector start beeping (common occurance) This was the first time it had gone off in our new Seneca and I hear her yell “how do you turn this thing off, where is the button” so I go in and see her poking at the ceiling and walk over and say “honey, that’s the speaker” The smoke detector was about 2’ away.....

Got a better one. Years ago when we first started camping, DW was outside hooking up the water and I heard her say," How do you get this to work"?

I looked out the window and she was pumping the freezeproof water faucet like a pitcher pump.

My wife has never made any foolish mistakes. She leaves that to her DH.

Didn't happen to me but the most humurous RV story I ever heard was from an RV tech.

A couple brought in their fifth wheel to have a faulty CO2 detector checked. The techs checked it out and found it to be working fine. They asked the customer what exactly set it off.

So, they said it only went off on Saturday nights when they were camping. The teck asked what they did on Saturday nights. The reply was they always had steaks when they camped. Pushed for more details, the couple respinded that they gave the steak bones to their black lab.

The tech has an "Aha" moment and asks where the dog's bed is located. Of course, it's right next to the CO2 detector. Appears Fido got a bit gassy after chewing the bones and set off the detector.

A couple that we know were having trouble with scale build up in their fresh water tank. The local plumber told the husband to take their camper around their mile section (they live on a gravel road) and hit every bump along the way to loosen up the scale. After returning home he opened the camper door to find a very unhappy wife inside their camper!

My DW moment of du uh.

Switched out the mouse hole shore power cord for a dedicated plug in and converted the shore power cord to a plug in removal shore power cord, even showed her the results of my fine handy work(brag). Next time we went camping I had to work up to the moment we where going to leave. Come home hooked up the camper while she informed me(brag) all is ready so lets roll. Got to the campground went to hook up to shore power and no shore power cord, yup still at home. She unplugged the cord, rolled it up and hung it in the garage with the rest of my cords. She was a bit confused, at first, then she burst out laughing.

Fortunately first trip out for the season and we always do a shake down trip and we where five miles from home.

I have a buddy who stopped at a Cracker Barrel to eat while traveling in his MH. When they got back to the parking lot his wife went to the back and he cranked her up and pulled out of the lot. He heard her hollering and stopped only to find her thrown off the throne in the bathroom, out into the hallway.
