Eagle Touring Edition 5th wheel

Has anybody had a chance to see the Eagle Touring Edition 5th wheels? The dealers in my area don't have them yet, but from what I have seen I am very interested. Jayco seriously needs to update their website already!

I walked through one last month, a dealer in Michigan had one (http://www.jaysrv.com/). I don't remember all the little up-grades it had, but I do recall that it had a Gel-coat exterior and that the tub in the bath was longer.

Overall I thought it looked pretty good.

Jayco Eagle Touring Edition 28.5 BHDS

We just purchased this unit about a month ago.
Some of the upgrades from the HT model:
63 gallon fresh water tank.
Gel coat
Some of the interior finishing appears to be higher grade
Mor/ryde pin box
Larger outside kitchen. Fridge, sink, large pullout counter.
Slam door latches on underbelly storage.
Slide out in Master Bedroom.
Upgraded Denver pillowtop mattress
Appears to be sturdier contstruction. Definitely heavier unit.
8 cubic ft fridge
10 gallon hot water tank.

Note: we compared this model to the 2013 Eagle HT. The 2014 Eagle HT may have some of the upgrades too.
Overall, we used it for about 11 nights and quite like it. It is our first Jayco.

Hello, how do you like the touring 28.5BHDS? We are thinking of upgrading and getting that floorplan. How do you like the outside kitchen? I'm sure I will like but would be better with a burner or two. Do you like the manual awning that covers it and do you find it easy to use or is it cumbersome and always having to walk around the awning arms when moving between the two awnings. Also is the grill mounted to the ready bumper easy to use or does the awning arm get in the way? Thanks for any feedback you can give on that floorplan.

Hi there. So far so good. Admittedly, only got three weekends in before winter hit so we haven't spent a ton of time in it. The outside kitchen has grown on me. It wasn't a must have item when we were purchasing but the rest of the unit had everything else we
were looking for.Turns out I really like the outside kitchen, very functional but I too would like if it included a burner. No issues with the awning that I noticed, but we only set it up on one of the weekends. We looked at Sabre and Rockwood as well, but the Jayco floorplan was the best for us and the quality was as good or slightly better than the other two in our opinion. The two year warranty was a factor as well as the dealership we bought from was the closest and one that we had purchased from before. We haven't tried the grill yet. They forgot to include it when we picked it up. It was only after Jayco finally updated their website I saw the grill was standard equipment on that model. Called dealership and got them to throw it in the unit while it was there for some minor warranty work. We'll try it out next spring.
