Electrical Issue

We have a 2017 16XRB hybrid and after packing up on our latest trip we removed the shore power only to realize we didn't have power from the battery, no lights, no monitor panel, etc. Before leaving we checked again and the monitor panel worked. Well we get home and nothing again. Check the battery and it has a full charge. Everything works on shore power, but it never switches over to battery. All breakers are on and fuses appear to be O K. Any thoughts? Is my converter shot? The breaker for the converter does seem loose, but when I switch it off and on the converter fan does go on.

Sounds like you have the same problem I have. The main ground is shot.

Try an experiment. Use a set of jumper cables and hook the negative terminal to the frame then see if everything works.

On my Hummingbird there is a 30 amp fuse on the frame near the battery. You might want to check it, also look for corrosion on the contacts.

FR8 thanks for the suggestion, tried the experiment, no luck, then saw Jim's reply and checked that fuse. Low and behold no continuity, fuse blown!!! Didn't even realize there was a fuse there.

Thanks for the help guys!

Ryan

I have the same problem. Can you send a picture of where the fuse is located?

Thanks
