I use a Barker Tote Along. Very handy to have at home to dump tanks, and longer stays at CG where there is a dump station but not full hookups. I have a 2 wheel 25 gal that I got off Craigs List for $50.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm slightly torn though, as the portable waste tank would the cheaper solution and one I could use at campsites that have a dump station, the macarater seems like it would be easier when dumping into our clean out pipe. I'll have to look into both a little more and think about what kinds of camping we plan on doing in the future.

You can find a very expensive tote (both Blue and Grey available here in CA) on Craigs List or similar site, that could be a good start. Then you would know if you do in fact need a macarater pump...and if you do then get it and you'll have both. One for home and one for taking camping.

I saw on the Camping World website today there's a sale on the FloJet RV Waste Pump Kit. I don't have any personal experience with mascerator pumps, but from reading this thread, there's at least a couple other people who use them with good results. . . .

Cheapest price I found was at http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/r...rtable-kit.htm
Considerably less than Camping World. Works great....
