I used 4" wide Eternabond, which means using to laps of Eternabond to get the required width. But, Eternabond sticks to itself better than anything else so it's not really a problem to do two laps.
Make sure everything is nice and clean before applying the Eternabond and press or roll it down hard. Remember that Eternabond will not stretch, so putting it on irregular surfaces sometimes makes some "pleats". Planning can minimize the pleats.
