Extend A Stay propane fitting

Anyone use any of the propane adapters to add large external tank when on a long term site ?
We now have our 5er setup on our place in the sticks. I am leaving the furnace on set to 55 . I have put an auto change gas valve on & usage is not bad but wanting to get a larger cylinder or is it worth the expense. The local suppliers won't fill the small rv cylinders except at their shops. Its only 8 miles from the house so no big whup to check on.

What kit are you considering? I would like to pick one up at some point myself to use a 100# tank on extended stays.

Was looking on amazon & CW sites. My local dealer is closed until Jan 2. So I may drive down to Tyler's CW & get one. We r supposed to actually have a winter this year with a week or so of low 20's at night. That's cold in my part of the world & I don't want to winterized as we go hide out on spur of the moment

We have the extenda-stay from Camping World & if we stay for a week we carry a 20lb bottle to use ( much easier to fill than the Seneca ) Now we are our " Home Base " for 5 weeks with several nights in the teens so we got a 100lb bottle so I don't have to worry about running out - it hooks up just like the 20lb bottle. A very good investment & nice piece of mind

Laugh, I forgot. Last trip to Oklahoma, I smelled gas around the tank. The fitting at the tank, compression fitting to the house started leaking. Maybe why the tank went empty so fast.

I got to the RV Supply house and of course I had forgotten to measure the hose. I knew it was 12"-16", but I didn't chance it, so I went with a 24".

The benefit to that was that I can now set a 20lb on the ground next to it and connect, which I could not do with the previous 16" one.

I have a 150 gallon external tank on my home base site. I ran a copper line from it to a valve right beside my site and use a flexible line to hook this directly to my rig's system right "after" the onboard pressure regulator. I have a cap that I use to close the onboard regulator so it doesn't get full of "stuff" while it is out of service. When I first started using this big external tank I had the propane company check the regulator on it to make sure it was operating to spec which it was.

When I leave his site I just unhook from the external tank and hook up again to the onboard regulator and use the removed cap to cap the end of the shore flexible hose. Works well and has been since 2011 and with this size tank the propane company delivers. I have a fill up coming next week which will be my first fill since winter started. I still have 40% as of this morning, but with below 20 degree temps for the next week I will use a bit.

I actually ordered a different kit BUT that's the one I received. I had to go to Tractor Supply & get a longer hose for aux tank.
I wasnt thinking as all you really need is a brass Tee & close nipple plus a hose .
