Hopefully, I'll have an answer (and a new outlet) for you by Wednesday.

Good deal!

One less piece of aggravation when parking the RV at home!

If the outlet is going to be INSIDE the garage. That means the extension cord most likely will run under the garage door. A 50 amp cord is very thick. It will be very difficult to close the garage door. The door will continually bang on the cord and damage it, causing a potential fire hazard. In the meantime if the door is adjusted so it will stay closed, you are creating an expressway for critters (aka mice) to enter the garage.

Personally, spend the few extra bucks and have it placed outside and as close to the Precept as possible.

Valid points. Though for me, it will only be plugged in a day or so before and a day or so after each trip as our POA won't allow it in the driveway for longer than 48hrs. But yes, reasonable that outside and closest would make most sense.

I had a 10ft 50a extension made during our big trip and it worked great for the 6 days I needed it. Don't know if I will ever use it again except at that place, but I have it if I need it. Relatively cheap too

The extension cord thing gets tiring after the 2nd year.
words of wisdom, sure would look better if nothing else.Do it right or don't do it at all.

As typical in my world, a conflict came up and we had to reschedule. And we are headed out on our next adventure in a couple of days so it'll be about 2 weeks before our next chance of getting it done. I promise I will update when it happens!
