External propane tank hookup

Is there a way to connect an external propane tank (like a 5lb I think is the size) to on board tank on my 26xd class c? This would be done while boondocking. I thought I saw a post concerning this but I couldn't find it. Are the tank pressures different, would I need some type of regulator for the smaller feeding tank?

are you asking if it is possible to connect an external propane tank to an auxiliary propane chuck valve and feed the RV from the connected external tank? That's a good question.. Never heard anyone doing it. It seems the propane would feed backward through the regulator and I don't know if propane regulators are designed to work in reverse fashion I'll be watching this thread, i'm curious too.

Yes, an external tank to feed into my onboard tank. I did another search an found how to hook up a grill to the RV tank. But not seeing this possible application.

Search “Extend a Stay”. It connects between the tank and regulator on a motor home. Allows a 20 or 30 pound tank to be used so you don’t deplete the onboard tank.

X2, but it will work with a 5 lbs tank too.

The internal pressures are all the same for all tank sizes. Love my little 11 pound tank.

The Camco 59125 kit looks like the right one for my needs.
As always, thanks for your help. It's appreciated!!
