Faulty thermostat?

Spent several days in the new to us Jayco and one thing I noticed really quick is that the furnace thermostat was awful. It would start to get cold when it would finally cut on. Then it was too warm when it cut off.

Removed the cover but I see no adjustment, so I thinking it is time to update it. Or is there an adjustment hidden behind the base? It is a 20 year old Coleman analog. Heat and AC.

I have no problem replacing it, just thought I would ask because I am sure others have had to run into this.

We will be living in it at least half the winter so this is top of the list of things to get fixed.

Most analogs are awful. Most mfg's put them on for years after digitals were available. I swapped both of mine with digitals years ago and could not be happier.

Many posts on how great it is to go digital, mine is a simple, heat only Honeywell that cost about 22$ on Amazon. Lots of posts on how to install and models in search bar above. Including advice on heat/AC models.

Add your make , model and year on your signature or question to get best advice.

Honeywell TH1100dv1000 nonprogrammable heat only

Looked it up, doubled in price to 39$ whew, still better than down to 55 and up to 75 and back down again.
