Finally Made A Proper Packing Checklist

We almost always forgot something, sometimes to fill up the sugar for the coffee, or paper towels, the last time it was the BBQ tools. So I decided to make a printable list. Happy to report, we didn't forget anything on this last trip.

So in the spirit of sharing, here is 2 versions of our list that may help somebody else who struggles like we did

1 is a PDF, the other is a DOC (Microsoft Word) version that you can edit to make your own.

I hope somebody finds it useful!

I have a similar list in excel that I look over at the start of the season, but once the camper is packed we just add things that come up or run out to a shared list on our cell phones. We use "OurGroceries" app (but not just for groceries, can be any list).

I have a list for Camper Stock, and another Camper Wish List for longer range want items. I just looked and we have 24 different lists in the app, including Christmas idea lists for each member of the family.

The list updates real time across our devices, a real bonus when meeting up at the store or doing divide and conquer shopping. I just pull up the list for that shop and look for the next item to disappear - voila I know where she is!

Finally Made A Proper Packing Checklist

I was able to replace the first 50 or so items on our check list with one line.

1) put it in the rv, don’t take it out….

2) Then it’s just the food and clothing list and consumables like TP which varies a lot depending on the trip.

We use the lists in Alexa, with a trailer specific list to add the items we take out, sheets, pillow cases, empty shampoo etc. most stuff we purchased just for the rv, like tools, plates, spices, BBQ, mixing bowls, blankets, chargers for everything, chairs, etc.

Thanks for the lists, wife & I have been using them for years for packing. Will have to compare yours to see if we have missed anything on ours. She is a "list" person, but makes my life easier. We also have them for setup & teardown, has really saved us at times making sure we didn't forget something.
