First night in our new Jay Feather X213

We picked up our new 2012 Jay Feather X213 Friday and we stayed at camp driveway with both the kids last night. We all loved it!! When this Wisconsin weather finally feels like spring, it'll be time for some real camping!

Great trailer. We love ours. I'm also waiting for the weather to break in Northern Indiana.

The X213 is a great trailer. We came that / / close to getting one here a couple years back to pull behind our 2010 F150 truck. I like the 2010 model and up with the windows on the side on the bedroom slide... Our kids are all grown and gone now so it is just Momabear and me. We even started looking at converting the bunk area into a radio/office/computer area.

Congrats, we absolutely love ours too. It has been taken out of hibernation and waiting for our first trip out, which will be this upcoming weekend. We havea site with electricity booked for the last weekend in May and then again for the long weekend at the end of June

Very cool. I haven't done the driveway camping since I was a kid.

We picked up our new 2013 Jay Feather X213 2 weeks ago and had hoped to do a local camping trip this weekend. However after being sunny all week it rained all day yesterday so we wimped out.

That stinks when the weather doesn't cooperate! Congrats on the 2013 x213. I like the newer graphics on your model and the skylight in the shower. A couple of things our 2012 doesn't have. We have slept in it a couple of times now and don't have any regrets with this floor plan. We did like and almost bought the new 2013 23M floor plan, but it was much taller, with two more steps to get in, and it weighed about 1,000 lbs more. They wanted $18,250 for the 23M and we got our left over x213 for $15,500 so it was hard to pass up. The 23M does however, have more room for adults to hang out in. There's always going to be a trade off no matter what you buy. It's nice to meet so many other x213 owners out there. The dealer made it sound like these trailers aren't very popular.

Sounds like a great price. Ours has a lot of options and a window sticker of $26K and change. We paid just over $23K, (Canadian dollars) not sure if it was the best deal but we liked it and it was the only one left. (we were told they were very popular)

The day we bought it we had spent the morning looking at used trailers in the $10K range. By lunch we were tired and disappointed with what you get for what seemed like a lot of money. In the afternoon we went to a dealer to check out some new $12K Jay Swift trailers and somehow ended up the X213. Looked at trailers at RV shows for years and it was the best layout for us that I've seen so far. We also looked at the 23M (murphy bed was very cool) but passed for the same reasons as you.

We've been camping in a 1972 Sprite Musketeer for the past 7 or 8 years. Going from a 40 year old 14 foot British Caravan that we bought for $1000 to our new "huge " Jay Feather is quite the change but I'm really looking forward to this summer.

We always pay more in Canada for the same product you can buy in the USA. Just how it goes.

That's kinda how it happened for us as well. I had given up looking because I had been trying to get the wife out of our tent and into a camper for 5 years. I thought we would start out with a pop up or a small hard side like the Sportsman Classic. We were at a lawn and garden show and they had left all the RV's there from the RV show the week before. We walked into the x213 and everything just seemed like it was in the right place for us. The wife loved it right away. We then looked for 2 weeks at every brand we could find and every layout possible. Put on 1,000 miles driving around to different dealers in Wisconsin. We ended up right back where we started, at the x213. Sounds like a BIG upgrade to your 72! As far as the price thing goes, you are right, the market can be very different depending on where you live. Plus I'm sure it cost a lot more to ship these RV's that far north as well. Hope we all enjoy them and have some great trips this year!

It sure is a nice feeling bringing home the new trailer. We love our Jayfeather and get many compliments on it. I'm just surprised they stopped building our model. It's fun getting the trailer to the way you want it. Your family will have loads of fun and the kids will have great memories.

Bobsanchez44 - The so called Bicycle/Bunk Room has this nice 12-inch shelf that runs the whole length of the front of the trailer. With both top and bottom beds removed this area would have been perfect for hiding things inside of it with either shelves or opening doors. All of my battery beefup mods would have fit rather nice in this area.

This front wall just being next to the trailer tongue and the metal box battery bank would be an excellent place to tap into several hundred AHs of battery capacity to run all my radio toys.

It certainly was calling "BUY ME...BUY ME" haha... We didn't do it however... Maybe one of these years one will fall in my lap before I get too old to play with it.

Love this trailer...
