Flag Pole Buddy - Help

So I got this cool 16" flag pole Buddy for my TT and I want to get it up for Memorial Day. Only problem is, the sliding round thingees that clip the flag on, will not go past the 2nd joint, Tried everything after calling manufacturer but still no go. Dremel work, WD40, or mega pressure didn't work. Last nite I even tried tapping with a ball pean hammer, and that broke one.
Anybody have any suggestions?

If this is the pole with the adjusting poles inside each other, make sure the inside pole is out before attempting to slide anything over it. They are tight but they will work.

Also, the rings are different sizes so make sure you have 1 large, 2 medium and 1 small ring. You might have got an extra small one and it won't go on the larger section of the pole. They only go on in that order due to each section's size.

Yep....poles are fully extended and I have the rings in the correct order and all the correct sizes. Any tips to move past that connecting joint? Thanks.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Can you post a pic? I think I had a similar problem but I'd need to see it to be sure.

I have one too (2.5 yrs) and haven't had probs. check the center rings and make sure they are larger than the top ring. Can you extend the pole sections ok? Also, are you flying a 3'x5' flag? We fly 2 flags with no probs.

Thanks all for the tips but I've already tried them all. Can't post pics but it's that first joint (not the 2nd as I stated before) going down 3' from the top. Can't get over that joint with the two medium sized rings. Broke one trying to really force it down.
Snake-Thanks for the video link. Usefull but doesn't talk about my issue.
Redhorse- Yep, I can extend all the sections okay and will fly a 3x5 flag or two.
Guess I'll call the company again to get more ideas and have them send me a replacement medium ring or two.
Happy RVing,
Jeff
