Floor squeaking in SLX

We have 2018 slx 294qbs. I picked it up in October after camping once had to bring back to the dealer cause of floor squeaking. Well it was at the dealers for 4 months. Well went camping Memorial Day weekend. It’s worse now. I called the dealer they are going to check it out again. Has anyone had this problem?

Time to get on the phone to Jayco. Completely unacceptable. Sounds like inferior plywood used under your carpet/vinyl. I have to wonder if the plywood has separated or was inferior quality at installation. Good luck.............has to be heart breaking

It might not be the floor; fasteners van walls, dinette or other cabinets etc. might be the cause. Remove screws and put some glue on it. To get close to the cause let someone walk on the floor and someone listen where the sound is coming from. You can go back to the dealer and miss 4 months of camping hours or let them take care of it out of season.

I definitely won’t be waiting 4 months this time.

By doing through research on different forums you'll come to the conclusion there are a few problems with new RV's. But you only hear from the people on forums. There are many happy campers who haven't and deal with it (for most part) themselves. As long there is a high demand, quality control will be less. Yes it is unfortunate spending a lot of money for a new RV (to many have to eat in between) and have to deal with warranty work. But Jayco is one of the better RV manufactures.

Of course Jayco being one of the better as you stated sure doesn't make that owner comforted being out a lot of money for a home that was at the dealer for 4 months and still has the same problem if not worse.
When I bite the bullet to buy a new home Jayco has moved down the list as possibles..............Arctic Fox, Nash, Grand Design, Orv are moving up. I'm about three years out from the big day and I hope Jayco gets their act together by then. I like the larger dealer network.

ArticFox, Nash is better quality but much heavier too. It is a smaller company and they put more pride in their work.

Can't say for the model but mine has a rubber topping guard that rubbed the wall.
