I have a 2014 and tow a Jayco 7500 GVW and love it. I had a 2007 Tundra 4.7 V8. I like my ford better for comfort and ride. I di think Toyota Tundra is a better made truck.

Mine is a lariat and has a digital gauge that shows a line not actual temperature. Does yours show actual temperature?

The XLT that I have shows trans temp as an actual readout. It is in the same menu as the digital speedometer and tire pressure pages.

My 2014 also shows the actual trans temp on the instrument cluster screen. It does seem slow to respond though as I will also monitor my trucks vitals on Torque Pro and the temp on the truck screen tends to lag a little.

The highest trans temp I've seen towing has been 220 after a long downhill run and the truck holding 3rd (I have the 10-speed) the entire way down. Most of the time, it is right around 205 towing.
