I loved the Pinto. I learned to drive standard on my mom's old Pinto. Did you know that if you revved it hard enough and dumped the clutch you could actually get the front wheels off the ground? So much fun to drive!

It was my first new car, a Mercury Topaz that proved the Fix Or Repair Daily moniker and turned me off Ford for the rest of my life.

Give me my Hemi any day over anything else out there. Although I did like my old Pinto when I was in college (back in the stone ages)

Hey, my first car! Totaled it 2months after I got it, replaced it with another. The best part: The payment! $59/mo for 18 months. Find ANY new vehicle for those terms anymore. Sigh...........

The Bad: Horrible driveline on the manuals. Both of mine spent more time in the shop with clutch problems than I can recall. And the second one rusted in several spots in Florida's coastal climate before I made the final payment.

I guess my other thread I was considering "Taco Bell: Trip to High Cuisine or Trip to the Emergency Room" probably is out as well due to the no bashing rules... sigh...

Have loved my Fords and treasure my current Chevy but let Toyota unleash their Diesel Dually and I will surely buy from the 4th American truck manufacturer. Rumor has it Diesel in 2017 and potential dually in 2018.

Grawe
And it will still only tow 5000lbs. There's a good reason you don't see many taco plow trucks, it's going to take a lot more than a diesel motor to fix that.

Thanks....and hopefully those that come in here with their first post just to whine and complain get the hint.

If they really wanted to contribute to the Forums they would have been her much earlier to ask questions.

Just my 2 cents and I know...nobody asked.

Safe travels....
