Found new storage - under sofa!

Ok...I feel pretty stupid....we have had this trailer for 2 years...I have often commented on how all that space is wasted under the convertible sofa...why can't the panel lift up and I could slide stuff under....

Well a few weeks ago when I was getting ready for our trip I started messing with it again...and lo and behold if you lift up the seat slightly the panel lifts right up....

Wow! Lots of storage for cokes, bottled water, etc! Exactly what we were lacking in the 26bh...

I felt pretty stupid...so thought I would share if there are some more people like me!

That's funny! I use the space, but usually for things that don't get used too often as it can be a real pain in the rear to get in and out of it.

I didn't think we had any extra space (pulling from memory when we looked after picking up the tt new). I looked just now, and sure 'nuf, it's flat and no extra room. Maybe it's a Jay Flight G2 thing, or because it's a 29'? No extra room there on our though

I found mine on our first trip. Salesman told me it was not there when we were looking at the rig. Sticker says 50 lb limit but it is great for linens and stuff.

I've been using that space all season. In my trailer the only thing preventing you from accessing this space is a thin piece of wood.

We have the 22FB (and it's not the G2) and we use the space under our sofa for cases of pop and other electrical "toys". It is a bit difficult to put stuff under there, but you can do it.

I have a 23' G2 and have space under the couch but you have to raise the s4at just a little to gain access to it, not somewhere you would want to store stuff you need a lot, but it is storage.

I have this storage space under my sofa. It is only accessible from the inside and I use it to keep my vacuum system hose and attachments.

We use our space to keep our 4 folding chairs and our fold up aluminum table.

Here is a pic from my 26bh, now you can see why I was so mad it took me so long to figure it out...lol....I was able to get two 12 packs of cokes, case of water, 2 boxes of capris suns, box of chips, 25 lb bag of potatos, 5 lb of onions and prob had some room to spare.

During the summer you can store at least another 12 pack next to the furnace.

Duh, I forgot your couch doesn't slide! That's why. We have the slide mechanism!

They made it a little easier on my model to access the space under the couch. It probably doesn't hold as much but it's a breeze to access.

I'd store the beer in there, but the melting ice would make the carpet very soggy :-)
