Unhappy Found TT but Dealer rep is doubtful

Well we located a eagle TT we been looking for ,pretty close to the one we want, price is in line with nada BUT read many complaints about dealer service, to rude, broken promises, false delivery dates, etc, 34 complaints to the BBB les than a year?? There is a case which a customer bought a tt-NEW then when it was delivered was a used one. If we buy from them we are afraid what is delivered to us will be a complete opposite of what we bought. It is a used unit but getting past the bad dealer rep is something to ponder. I guess I answered my own question, Walk Away. Or does all dealers have BBB complaints??

I would find another dealer in the area, and tell him about the TT you are looking at. Then ask if it would be possible
for him to make the deal happen. Also let him know you plan on bringing it to him for all your service work. But you really don't know the
history behind that TT. So it might be better to just WALK AWAY!!

I'd walk.

There is a RV dealer (non-Jayco) in my area which, when talking to other RV owners, does not have a good reputation. Sometime later, being in need of a job, I went to work for this dealer. Over the next 3 seasons, I found out that bad reputation was pretty much deserved.

We recently ordered our third Jayco from that dealer's primary competitor.

If multiple people say a dealer is troublesome and the BBB says the place is a problem, look elsewhere for your RV.

Walk away,There are enough trailers out there I am sure you could find something to your liking. I walked away from one when they kept changing our deliver date because they overbooked the days to do it.

I would certainly not buy from that dealer.

While we love our TT (Starcraft 235fb - Jayco clone) the dealer that we bought it new from was a nightmare.
I am actually surprised that Jayco and Starcraft do not have some sort of standards or secret shoppers that they send around to their dealers.
A company can have the best travel trailers, but if the officially sanctioned dealer is unreputable (and that is being very kind - swear words come to mind when I think of that dealership) it can certainly ruin the name of the TT company.

Even good companies have BBB complaints but good companies "usually" are able to resolve most, if not all, of the complaints. However, in this case that many complaints in such a short amount of time smacks of something is very wrong.

I'm with everyone else also. Considering the small percentage of people who actually report to the BBB I would say that this dealer is bad news. Good luck in your search and keep us informed.
