Free Paint Job

ARRRGGG...

Our neighbor had their fence stained yesterday.. The idiots that they hired to do the staining didn't bother to let us know. I now have beautiful redwood stain all over my TT and TV.. I just spent an hour with windex cleaning off all of the windows..

Looks like the stain will come off easily enough with some elbow grease. But they are going to contact the stain company and I am going to send everthing to a professional vehicle cleaning company and send them the bill.

And of course I just noticed this because I was hooking everything up to go camping this weekend..

That's what i would do,Take pictures, get it cleaned up send them the bill, not the neighbors fault, they must have thought the painting crew would have taken time to cover the area.wonder if they paid the painters?

I sent pictures to my neighbor, they were very apologetic, they said they would call the fence company tomorrow. They weren't very happy either.

Ouch. That's why I stain my own decks.

Doesn't surprise me in the least....... I managed a Service department for and HVAC company and had one of my techs spray acid coil cleaner up on a roof in a strong wind and ruined the paint job on about 30 cars in an afternoon. Some people just don't use their brain.

I believe the phrase "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry" would be applicable to my response to that.

If there is a silver lining..... at least it will come off! Be thankful it didn't require a complete paint job.

My neighbor just stopped by.. Told me everything is covered. When we get back from camping this weekend I will just keep it hooked up to my TV and run down to the car wash, only thing I have to replace will be my propane cover. So I will get a free car wash and new tank cover.. Yea... Oh well, could have been worse.. Thanks for the support guys..

I made the same bonehead move when my 375BHFS was only a month old. Had to add onto the deck at our seasonal site, and decided I would stain it all to match. Little did I know just how much splatter was being plastered on the side and back of my camper. I rubbed off what I could, and figured the rest just added an extra layer of UV protection....

Could be worse. Wife and I stained our back deck in March. Left for camp and got a call from the city fire dispatcher "your garage is engulfed in flames". Yup, the stain rags we left in the garage combusted and burnt down the garage and totaled the 2012 CR-V.
Thank God for insurance.

I guess the OP should consider himself lucky that his RV wasn't parked next to your garage!
