freestanding table vs dinette booth?

I want some opinions from people that got the freestanding table and chairs rather than the traditional booth.

In our current trailer we don't use the dinette. We find it is a pain in the neck trying to slide into the seat (I am 6-04) and that it never got used for anything other than storage. Looking at getting the chair option, but curious about real world experiences.

Do you find you have enough room with the chairs?

How much do table and chairs move during transport? We don't off road with our trailer, but bumps in the highway and through the campground happen.

Do you feel that this is a worthwhile upgrade cost?

Any other advice or opinions? I know I would be losing some storage space, but I'm not sure how big of a deal that will be.

Thanks!

We now have a table and chairs. I don't care for them. The trailer we have on order has the booth in it. I find the booth more comfortable to use (big thick long cushion), has storage capability and can fold into a bed. I had trouble squeezing into our chairs and 2 legs of the outside side are always on a different side of the slideout seam causing slight rocking. The table looks classier but I want my booth back. To each their own though.

Our previous Fiver had table and chairs and I reallly liked them. My DW however, likes the booth... we now have the booth.

Our previous TT had the booth dinette and our new TT has the free standing table and chairs. I prefer the table and chairs and as far as movement during travel they stay in position without any issue. The booth at least the one we had I found was cramped and with the free standing table the chairs the chairs can be positioned to allow you more elbow room however the U shaped dinette's looks to have more room vs the standard booth dinette.

We hated the booth on our previous TT. Our current unit has the table and chairs. Its a bit of a pain to get the bungie around the legs for travel but that what the kids are for. But we prefer the table and chairs unless maybe it was a booth with more room but they all seem tight to me..

We just switched out our dinette booth for a table and chairs. After about 15 mins, I couldn't stand sitting in the booth... I just found it too uncomfortable. Yes, I will miss the under seat storage and the simplicity of it but the table and chairs seem to make it easier to move about and the chairs are way more comfortable to sit in for any length of time.

Was this something you came up with or the dealer/Jayco?

It came with the camper as well as 2 covers to cover the tops of the chairs, one on each side, to prevent them from scuffing each other as they are very close when bungied to the table center..The covers were under the seat cushions. They lift for a little storage on all 4 chairs..

We have the table and chairs and love it, the previous trailer had the booth.

Our table has the extension and that helps too.
