I do what tinlizzie23 does, and secure the coil with a couple of velcro straps.

I have a hard plastic hose called bronze line made by Valterra. One nice feature about them is how easy they coil up. It will not kink because of its rigidity. The 15 foot line easily coils into about four coils which I put a bungee cord around. This hose can be in the sun all day and not give off the plasticky taste. It's great.
